Just as we suspected, the motorcycling scene in Singapore is alive in fifth gear and pulsating with life and style. With our inaugural first issue of Motor Culture Asia, we felt that a catalyst had been dropped into the tank and the motor scene starting to pump up a few RPM notches.
On the cover is Ix Shen, oozing with style and the idol of most of the ladies in my office. He takes the Harley Davidson Street Glide for a ride and tells us how it feels. MCA then goes riding in Europe and brings back shots of motor culture over there. We also go touring with Kruzers, a local riding group that lives to explore the lands of our neighbour on their two-wheeled machines.
On the home front we capture the race action of the Singapore supermotard series at Kallang and the MSSC enduro championships in Malaysia, stopping along the way for a chat with local racing icon Fabian Looi, about his days of thunder as a Grand Prix motorcycle racer.
Not forgetting bike reviews, MCA takes a look at local Singaporean bikers and their bikes from the powerful and agile CBR Fireblade, to the Italian Stallion MV Brutale and the cool classy three-wheeled PGO scooter.
Thanks for giving us the thumbs-up in our first issue of Motor Culture Asia. We really did our utmost best and were delighted with all the positive vibes generated about MCA.
We can’t wait to share the roads with you. Ride well and ride safe.
