Welcome to the MCA’s smoking final issue of 2006!
We went at this one with full guns blazing in all directions, answering some questions of motorcycle culture along the way…
Do Singaporeans actually follow MotoGP? With only a 4-hour drive separating us and the top motorcycle racers of the world, MCA couldn’t resist covering the entire 2-day Marlboro Malaysian MotoGP race action at Sepang KL. It was a spectacular feeling to be in presence of MotoGP stars like Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden. Our MCA photographer wasted no time stalking the track for the best shots of riders burning up the circuit.
A local festival for two-wheelers only? That’s what happened in Singapore as the first Big Bike Fest was celebrated at Clark Quay. Hundreds of bikers turned up for the 2-day party of bikes, food, fun and games. This is going to be the start of exciting times for motorcycle riders in Singapore.
Are there really middleweight custom cruisers out here? Two class 2A bikes take on the mantle of the coolest-looking 400cc cruisers in Singapore. Who will prevail? The dark and moody Yamaha Dragstar or the cool and funky Honda Slasher? You decide.
Why do we ride? If you still can’t find the answer after going through this issue of MCA, then you’re in trouble.
Have a great year-end of riding and see you all next year!
Enjoy!
