Editor's Note

Motorcycles are a BIG thing to me. And odds are if you’ve been enjoying issue after issue of Motor Culture it’s a big thing to you too. Just how big is motorcycling in Singapore? Well we’ve had one of the biggest boys on the roads (ahem the police) host the Yamaha Cub Prix races on their big parade square during their big Police Week, attracting big crowds of spectators.

MX riders from Australia were ram jumping big air on their motocross bikes right in front of Ngee Ang City’s Civic Plaza at the Adventure Singapore carnival held in Orchard Road. The Motorcycle Sports and Safety Club (MSSC), together with SHINE launched another big attack on the *scape field at Cineleisure with big full-grown motocrossers ripping through the greens and jumping big rams in front of dazzled spectators and passerbys. MSSC continues their foray into motocross and supermoto races with big land MX playgrounds and supermotard track racing at Nusajaya Malaysia.

Future Scootering organised the scooter forums big anniversary event of the year at a big bungalow in Aloha Changi, gathering all the various scooter clubs and riders for a great night of friendship and BBQ. This was one night where you could catch a glimpse of all the biggest scooters gathered at one single place.

Even in charities bikers are doing big things like shaving off all their hair in support of cancer-stricken kids in HOGS participation of the Hair for Hope event at Velocity Novena Square. No HOG hair was spared.

For local sportbike racers there’s nothing bigger than racing in the Malaysian Super Series and Motor Culture salutes the boys competing big in the Superbike and Supersport series. The game’s not over yet!

Still not big enough for you? Latest news is that a big piece of land at Tuas has been approved for conversion into a dedicated motorcycle racetrack for big boys and their motorised toys. Big things will continue to head this way for Motor Culture. Be prepared for more riding fun.

Enjoy this BIG issue of Motor Culture Asia and we look to your continued support (keep subscribing!). Keep the magazine going and the passion alive. It’s not what you ride, but that you ride.

Keep on riding in 2007!
