Change is always a good thing and that’s exactly what we have done here at MCA and boy have we rammed it up a bit. The magazine has got an all new look and feel, while keeping our great sections, feature test rides, and more about Asia’s unique motorcycling culture. But as you riders know all good things take time (They took XXX years to re-make the Yamaha V-Max gosh and we’re not even going to mention much about Miguel Galuzzi’s V-4 driven Aprilia RSV4 ... oh did we already?) so please have a little more patience with us as we continue to make MCA a bit more interesting and worthy for you our discerning riders. MCA is home-grown and will always need your local strong support. Thanks a million!
To start the fast wheels rolling we covered Singapore’s most exciting international motorcycle event to date – The Red Bull International Asia Pacific Exhibition Tour right here in Singapore. Sure more than 10,000 people turned up to witness the finest FMX stunts the world has to offer but were you there? If not don’t worry, you can catch it all in MCA.
Back at the MCA historical archives we have unearthed media reports dating back to 1973 (before I was born, whew!) about motorcycling culture right here in Singapore. Make no mistake this is the real motorcycle stuff your daddy kept from you! We call it MCA Legends and it will be a regular feature in future issues. We can’t wait for the industry old-skool to start asking us for the pictures!
On the riding front we review top babes and brutes like the MV Agusta Brutale 1078RR, the stylish Kymco Xciting 300Ri, the exotic ‘more-exclusive-than-yer-Ducati’ Bimota DB7 Superbike and the cool factor Harley-Davidson XL883R. Who says life isn’t good?
The Singapore economy may look like it’s really coming out of the toilet in the next few months so let’s all rejoice. Sign up for the exclusive Aprilia RSV4 launch and let’s see you guys there! Here’s to more sunny good riding days ahead.
Enjoy and ride it like you’re part of Motor Culture Asia!
